Winter Challenge BAD

There is a Winter Challenge going at the Beaded Art Dolls group that I wanted to participate in.

It's no secret that I've been having "trees on the brain", as the hubby likes to say.
Here is the Winter Tree I finally finished beading last night, it really took a long time for me to get her completed. She measures right about 5 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide.

Unfortunately this will be last completely beaded doll I will do for a while due to the issues I am having. I was determined that I would at least get this one done though. Out of all the art dolls I have made and given away in swaps... this is the first one I am keeping just for me and that I've manage to finish out completely beaded.

Wow! Beautifully beaded! I'm glad that you're keeping her for yourself. It's nice to treat ourselves, isn't it?
Hope your issues are soon resolved. Take care.

She's beautiful and I know she had to be tons of work...certainly a labour of love! Hopefully you will soon be back to your usual self and can take up beading again.

Issues?? ISSUES???Hope you get them all resolved soon, Stacie! You are too good a beader for us to lose you now-wahhhhhhh. She is a real treat for the eyes, and bet she is even better to hold. I love her peanut beads on her behind and the opals on her front- like bits of ice caught in the folds of her trunk....

Very unique and beautiful. Glad to hear you are keeping her, as sometimes we tend to give all our good work away.

You did an amazing job on this tree spirit. I love the look of it. Isn't it funny how we always make things for others and so seldom make something for ourselves. I hope the health issues will soon be behind you. I have your beaded heart by my chair and it will serve as a reminder to pray for you.

I love this beaded doll. How is it made? Do you start with a cloth doll first? And the face is beautiful.
